We started homeschooling our boys in May 2008. We chose to homeschool for one reason only ~ Hubs job. We wanted to be together when we were together. If that meant during the week when he was home or out on the road traveling together.
I homeschooled my oldest ‘under the county’ from Kindergarten through 4th grade.
In 5th grade we tried a co-op. 6th, 7th, and 8th we homeschooled through an umbrella school – 2day/week program. My son has played competitive soccer and tennis through these schools.
My youngest son has always been homeschooled with a 1day/week program. It has been a great help to him and his delayed fine motor skills.
I am currently the Geography & Latin teacher for a private homeschool co-op on Thursdays. I teach four classes total – 24 children – ages 7-12. It is such a joy and I absolutely love my job!

I no longer have time to review homeschool curriculum, but I will be happy to share a few affiliate links to products I absolutely love & highly recommend …
AAS has been such a help for so many years for my hands-on learner! Building words rather than memorizing them is brilliant. Plus each lesson explains rules so you know WHY we spell the way we do.
