Meet Stef Layton a glorified Hands-On Learning Advocate. Homeschool Mom. Worksheet Creator. Brain Stormer. Think Tank.
Stef Layton started homeschooling in 2008 when her oldest son Jacob started Kindergarten. Stef discovered he was a highly tactile learner and that she would have to create numerous projects and activities to best help him learn.
After years of creating new and fun ways to keep homeschooling, Stef started sharing her ideas online at Educating Laytons. Sadly that blog was hacked and she lost all her precious memories.
Over the last ten years Stef has been a conference speaker, online community encourager, magazine columnist, brand ambassador, social media strategist, guest blogger, vlogger, ebook creator, blog manager, field trip planner, and most recently Geography teacher to 24 students. Stef is considered a prominent hands-on learning home educator.
When Stef isn’t posting the latest homeschool lesson, she enjoys: yoga, hiking, traveling, and reading non-fiction history. Stef is married to Thad, a golf course architect. They have two boys Jacob and Henry and reside in Central Florida.
